Fabrizio Romano has released a new episode of his Here We Go podcast, and he’s shared a brief update on Tottenham’s transfer plans.
What’s the story?
Well, the reliable Italian journalist has revealed that Spurs are looking for a new frontman to be signed in the summer of 2022.
Speaking on his Here We Go podcast, Romano said: “Tottenham are already looking at potential strikers for summer 2022.”
In our view, that’s exactly where Nuno Espirito Santo needs to add a new face.
If something were to happen to Harry Kane this season, Spurs wouldn’t have another out-and-out striker to step in and replace him.
Nuno only has Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn who could act as false nines, while Dele Alli is also capable.
Carlos Vinicius looked like he could’ve been the answer, although Tottenham clearly didn’t rate him enough to sign him permanently.
Tottenham’s transfer plans must include a creator

It’s been a while since Christian Eriksen left N17, and Spurs are still yet to replace the creative Dane.
Against Crystal Palace last time out, Kane failed to have a single touch in the box due to a total lack of service from his teammates.
In fact, Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has created as many clear-cut goalscoring chances as Tottenham this season with one (WhoScored).

That is extremely worrying.
In our view, a creative source must be found before a striker, or there’s no point in having the striker – unless they can create their own chances out of nothing, that is.
Whatever happens, Fabio Paratici must work hard to ensure Tottenham are more dangerous going forward.
