Newcastle should consider signing Bournemouth ace Joshua King.
Bournemouth’s Joshua King scores
Newcastle United will already be planning for life in the Premier League next season and looking to the transfer market.
One club they won’t be facing are rivals Sunderland, whose relegation was confirmed at the weekend.
The goal which sealed David Moyes’ side’s fate was scored by Bournemouth striker Joshua King, who should be a player Newcastle consider signing, and not just because he killed off their rivals.
King has surprised everybody by scoring 15 goals this season, increasing on last year’s tally of six.
12 of his goals have come in 2017, with four in his last five games.

He has shown an ability to score in big games, notching against Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool during the past month.
His form has understandably seen interest rise in his services, with The Mail reporting Tottenham are eyeing a summer move for the Norwegian international, who is valued at around £15 million.
Tottenham can offer what Newcastle can’t, Champions League football and a chance to compete for the title, but Newcastle may be able to tempt King with the promise of more playing time.

At Tottenham, King would be merely a back-up to Harry Kane, and would have to compete with Vincent Janssen for the second striker spot.
If he signed for Newcastle then King would get the chance to compete with Dwight Gayle on an equal footing.
Having made so much progress since beginning his career in Manchester United’s reserves, the 25-year-old does not need to take a backwards step by reverting to being a back-up now.
Newcastle would not be able to find many other more reasonably priced strikers who have proven themselves at Premier League level within the past 12 months with the same upside and potential as King to get even better.
Bournemouth are under no pressure to sell, yet working with Rafa Benitez could be tempting, as King’s former teammate Matt Ritchie could attest to.
