Tom Huddlestone told the Football Show on Sky Sports (13/01/21 at 12:25) that Jose Mourinho has changed at Tottenham.

The midfielder claimed that at Manchester United Mourinho looked ‘almost uninterested’, but at Spurs, he has got the ‘excitement back’.

It has been over a year since Daniel Levy made the surprise decision to replace Mauricio Pochettino with Mourinho and it’s a move that’s paying off, thus far.

Huddlestone thinks with the new and rejuvenated Mourinho at the helm, he can see ‘something special’ happening at Spurs during these coming seasons.

“I think he has got the bit between his teeth,” said Huddlestone. “When you see him in his interviews. He’s getting a little bit spikey and he’s enjoying his press conferences again.

“Whereas towards the end at Manchester United, he looked almost uninterested and I think he’s got the excitement back.

“You can sense something special happening at Tottenham over the next two to three seasons.”

In order for something ‘special’ to happen, Mourinho needs to start putting trophies in Tottenham’s cabinet because he is an expert in that field.

At this moment in time, they are in every single competition, with the obvious attention being on the League Cup final.

But Spurs can close the gap on leaders Manchester United to four points by beating Fulham tonight, they are still in the FA Cup and will be returning to Europa League action next month.
