Fabrizio Romano has reported that Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea are about to sign Axel Disasi from AS Monaco.
The Italian journalist has reported on Twitter that AS Monaco defender Axel Disasi will undergo a medical at Chelsea today.
Disasi is already in England ahead of completing his move to Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Romano has said that Chelsea will pay AS Monaco €45 million (£39 million) in transfer fees for the 25-year-old France international defender.
Newcastle United and Manchester United have also been linked with Disasi in the summer transfer window, but it seems that it is Chelsea who are about to secure the services of the defender.
Disasi made 37 starts and one substitute appearance in Ligue 1 for Monaco last season.
The 25-year-old scored three goals and gave three assists in those games.
Disasi also scored two goals and provided one assist in eight UEFA Europa League matches for Monaco last season.
Exciting Axel Disasi update for Chelsea fans
In our opinion, Fabrizio Romano’s latest update on Axel Disasi is very encouraging for Chelsea fans.
It seems that it is only a matter of time before the Frenchman becomes a Chelsea player.

The 25-year-old is a very good player, and his best years are ahead of him.
Chelsea were truly terrible last season.
Head coach Mauricio Pochettino will be determined to do better this time around.
Chelsea’s main objective next season will be to finish in the top four of the Premier League table.
Disasi would play a big role in Chelsea’s quest to be successful next season.
