West Ham United are said to be in talks with Yaya Toure over a transfer to the London Stadium.

However, McCoist claims that Toure wouldn’t be suited to West Ham, if he did move to the London Stadium.
The Scottish international said: “I’m not sure that’s a good fit with West Ham. I think Toure is more suited to a side who are not under any real pressure, and he’s allowed to go and play with a lot of freedom.

“I still think there’s more pressure on teams like West Ham to dig out points. Whereas in another team he’s maybe allowed to go and express himself.”
Toure is currently a free agent following his release from Manchester City, and his agent has already suggested that he wants to prove Pep Guardiola wrong next campaign.

If Toure does move to West Ham then he could have the chance to link back up with Manuel Pellegrini, and that could appeal.
Toure and Pellegrini worked together at City earlier in their respective careers, and the central midfielder thrived under the Chilean boss’s guidance.
If Toure was to arrive at West Ham he would be in competition with the likes of Pedro Obiang and Mark Noble for a place in midfield.
