Ibrox chief Dave King has once again been talking up Rangers.

Rangers legend Ally McCoist has told The Scottish Herald that he thinks Steven Gerrard should be encouraged by Dave King’s comments about the club.
The Gers have made some progress under Gerrard this season, reaching the Europa League group stage whilst losing just five Scottish Premiership games.
Rangers need to take another step forward in order to chase down Celtic, especially as the Bhoys are set to seal their eighth title in a row – dangerously close to the target of 10.
There are fears that striker Alfredo Morelos will be sold this summer, but chairman Dave King has now given yet another bold claim of the club’s intentions.
Fans are no doubt used to King making grand claims of the club’s hopes and aspirations, especially just around the time of season tickets being up for renewal.
This time, King – as quoted by BBC – has claimed that Rangers are ‘within tangible reach of becoming dominant force’, despite having few real reasons to back that statement up.

Now though, Rangers hero and ex-boss McCoist has suggested that Gerrard won’t be upset with these bold claims, and should instead be agreeing with him whilst being encouraged that such bold goals will be backed up with investment in the transfer market, believing Rangers will be busy in the transfer window this summer.
“I don’t think Steven Gerrard will be upset at all at the statement,” said McCoist. “If I was him I would be agreeing with him and saying ‘That’s good, now let’s go and make sure it happens’ but he needs backing and I genuinely think he will be backed,” he added.
