Former Rangers manager Ally McCoist doesn’t think that Celtic are as good as they were 18 months ago.

McCoist, who played for Rangers from 1983 until 1998 and managed the Ibrox club from 2011 until 2014, has said that Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic are in a funny place right now.
McCoist told The Daily Record: “Celtic have been great in the last three games but I’m still not sure they are the team they were 18 months ago.
“It’s difficult to gauge Celtic, they are in a funny place right now. I saw them at McDiarmid Park where they were excellent and James Forrest was unbelievable for 45 minutes.
“But are they as strong as they were 18 months ago? I really don’t know. They certainly look as if they are hitting a bit of form and they might get there.”

Not as good as before?
Celtic did not start the season well in the Scottish Premiership, and the Hoops also failed to progress to the group stage of the Champions League.
Things are not going well for the Glasgow giants in the Europa League, but the Bhoys have rediscovered their form in the Scottish Premiership.
The way Celtic dismantled Heart of Midlothian 5-0 at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership this past weekend underlined their strengthen and quality when all the players are in good form.
Celtic may not be at their best right now, but they are playing well at the moment, have momentum on their side, and have also reached the final of the Scottish League Cup this season.
