Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are the subject of worrying rumours in Scotland.

Speaking on Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT, Ally McCoist has rubbished suggestions that former club Rangers are on the brink of administration.
Some bookmakers suspended betting on Rangers being relegated this week in a move which has caused a bit of a stir up in Scotland.
But McCoist, who was the Gers boss until 2014, claims that there is nothing happening in that regard at the moment, claiming it’s just a rumour.

He told talkSPORT: “Nothing’s happening. Everything’s fine at the moment.
“I’m telling you right now, I can reassure you. The boys are in Florida preparing for the season starting again.”

Given Rangers’ history, these kind of rumours will always evoke more concern among fans of the Ibrox club than most other sides in British football.
But it does appear as if it’s untrue, with McCoist also suggesting on talkSPORT that the rumours were started by Celtic fans.
Graeme Murty’s side are in Florida at the moment during the winter break. Tomorrow they face Corinthians in a friendly, having already beaten Atletico Mineiro early on Friday morning.
