TNT Sport commentator Ally McCoist gave his verdict on Kai Havertz’s goal against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have started the season very well but the Gunners drew 1-1 against Brighton & Hove Albion, the North London club could be two points behind Manchester City heading into the international break.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal completed the signing of Raheem Sterling before the transfer deadline but the Gunners suffered a blow in the form of another new signing Mikel Merino suffering a shoulder injury that looks set to keep him out for two months.
The Gunners also brought in Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna but the Italian defender did not start the game against the South Coast side.

Ally McCoist keen to praise Kai Havertz
During the first half, after it appeared to be a tight and goalless first half, Bukayo Saka played a beautiful through ball to Kai Havertz and the former Chelsea forward dinked the ball over Bart Verbruggen into the back of the Brighton net.
It was a moment of brilliance for the German who is continuing to prove himself for the Gunners and looks set to be Arsenal’s main striking option during the majority of the campaign.
Speaking on TNT Sports, commentator Ally McCoist was keen to praise Havertz who is beginning to show his qualities for the Gunners.
“It was a brilliant finish,” McCoist said. “You just knew as soon as he got into that position that he was going to score. I saw the story unfold in front of my eyes and expected him to score.”
Kai Havertz in for key season for Arsenal
Back in June, HITC reported that Arsenal wanted RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko to lead the line for the Gunners.
However, we also reported that Arsenal had failed to get a deal done for Sesko, who opted to sign a new deal with Leipzig that will keep him at the club but the Slovenian forward crucially has a release clause in his contract which comes into effect next summer.
As for the current Arsenal, Havertz could well be a vital option for the Gunners as they hope to win their first Premier League title since the 2004 invincible season.
Havertz may not be a 20-goal-a-season striker but the German will play a key role for the Gunners in the upcoming campaign.
