Ally McCoist has said on ITV (12:06pm, February 7, 2022) that he has been surprised by the heading ability of Liverpool forward Diogo Jota.
The Rangers legend made the comments while watching Jota in action for Liverpool against Cardiff City at Anfield in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers forward scored in the 53rd minute.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool won the tie 3-1.
McCoist said about Jota on ITV (12:06pm, February 7, 2022): “I will tell you where he is really strong in an area where I wasn’t really sure, and that’s in the air. He is a tremendous header of the ball.”
Diogo Jota is a Liverpool star
In our view, Jota has been a superb signing for Liverpool.
Liverpool paid Wolverhampton Wanderers £41 million for the 25-year-old Portugal international forward in the summer of 2020 (BBC Sport).

Jota has been brilliant for the Reds and has proved to be a reliable source of goals.
The 25-year-old has scored 10 goals and provided one assist in 18 Premier League starts for Liverpool so far this season.
The Portuguese star has scored 35 goals and created 21 big chances in 107 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
Jota has scored six headed goals.
That is quite remarkable when you consider that the forward is only 5 ft 10 in.
