Glasgow Rangers full-backs Borna Barisic and Jon Flanagan have not been playing well for the Steven Gerrard’s side.

The former Rangers striker and manager believes that the left-back position is a problem for the Gers.
McCoist said that he is not convinced by 26-year-old former Liverpool full-back Flanagan, and added that 26-year-old Croatia international left-back Barisic is not the player he was when he arrived at Ibrox in the summer of 2018.
McCoist said on BT Sport 1 on Sunday evening (5:24pm, August 18, 2019): “I don’t think there’s any doubt that’s the position that I would (strengthen).
“I am not convinced by Flanagan. I don’t know what has happened with Barisic. When he first came, I thought, he is a player, he looked comfortable, good use of the ball, seems to have gone back for me.”

Rangers exits
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has suggested that he will sell some players in the summer transfer window.
Following the win against Ease Fife in the Scottish League Cup at the weekend, the Liverpool legend said that his Gers squad is too big.
Gerrard told BT Sport: “It’s probably a bit too big at the moment, so we will see what the rest of the window brings, but I am really happy that I can change the squad and there is not much of a difference.”
Europa League progress
Meanwhile, former Rangers midfielder Dariusz Adamczuk has predicted the Ibrox club to progress to the group stage of the Europa League this season.
Rangers will take on Legia Warsaw in the Europa League playoff round, and Adamczuk has predicted the Gers to win against them.
Adamczuk told The Scottish Sun: “I make it 70-30 in favour of Rangers.”
