Glasgow Rangers are reportedly hoping to bring Dominic Solanke to Ibrox during the January transfer window.

Solanke seems to have been linked with the Gers throughout much of Steven Gerrard’s tenure. And his lack of game-time at Liverpool this season has certainly fuelled speculation that he could be on the move in the winter.
The Scottish Sun reported this week that the Light Blues are keen to bring Solanke to Ibrox on loan, and the Scottish Premiership side find themselves in the driving seat to make a deal happen.
And when asked about the rumours, McCoist suggested that it would be a fantastic move for Rangers if they could agree something with the Reds.

“It would be a massive coup,” he told BT Sport. “I think he scored two in midweek (for England’s under-21s). That would be a top, top signing if they managed to get him.”
Rangers have certainly benefited from Gerrard’s connections on Merseyside. Ryan Kent has been an excellent signing, while Ovie Ejaria has also shown flashes of brilliance during his loan spell.

The Gers probably do need to ask more questions in the final third. It is odd to say given that they have scored 13 goals in their last three games, but they do look a significantly more dangerous side at the moment when Alfredo Morelos is leading the line.
Kyle Lafferty has not enjoyed the best spell since returning to Ibrox. So adding Solanke into the mix could be a major statement from Rangers as they continue to battle on several fronts this season.
