Is Mark Warburton under pressure with Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers?

Ally McCoist has told The Brechin Advertister that former club Rangers would be “crazy” to part ways with manager Mark Warburton at the moment.
Rangers host St Johnstone at Ibrox tonight as Warburton’s troops go in search of a third successive Scottish Premiership win.
But the Gers’ 1-0 defeat by Celtic in the Scottish League Cup semi-final at Hampden Park on Sunday has opened the door for more frustration among the fans.

Warburton’s side failed to avenge the 5-1 humiliation at Parkhead last month in what was another one-sided affair at the weekend, even if the scoreline did not suggest as much.
Rangers are also seven points behind their Old Firm enemies in the Premiership title race and overall it is shaping up to be anything but the fairytale return to the top flight which some supporters envisioned before the season kicked off.
McCoist knows a thing or two about the expectancy at Ibrox, having played for and managed the Glasgow giants, but the 54-year-old tells the Brechin Advertiser, at a Ladbrokes event, that sacking the ex-Brentford boss is not an option.

“There’s no point in changing things, he’s got to be given a chance,” he said. “You’re not going to change managers, it would be crazy, at this stage.
“He had a good season last year, winning that league in a competitive division. Where Rangers are at the moment doesn’t surprise me. I expected it to be brutally honest with you.”
The 54-year-old led the club to Premiership promotion in very comfortable fashion in the Championship last season, and secured a Scottish Cup final place, but Hibernian edged them out.
