Ally McCoist and Alan Brazil has disagreed over whether Glasgow Rangers should part company with Pedro Caixinha on the Sports Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 20th October.

Caixinha has made some outlandish statements since taking charge at Ibrox, and some of his methods appear to be unorthodox.

Caixinha’s job does not appear to be under any immediate threat at Rangers, but there is no doubting that he has been questioned by sections of the Ibrox crowd.

And Brazil feels that Rangers need a change, if they are to start progressing.

“They’ve got the wrong guy in charge. He shouldn’t be there. See you later,” Brazil stated.

McCoist, though, was more considerate when analysing the job which Caixinha had done since taking charge at Rangers.

The former Light Blues boss feels that Caixinha has helped to improve Rangers during his time in charge, but Celtic’s progress has put the Portuguese manager under further pressure.

“It’s more complex than that [getting rid of Caixinha],” McCoist said.

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha looks on during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Hibernian at Ibrox Stadium on August 12, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

“Rangers have improved but not to the extent that many hoped. And the unfortunate team is that Rodgers has taken Celtic to another level again and they are the best team in the country.”

Rangers are currently in third place in the Scottish Premiership table, which leaves them six points behind Celtic.

Rangers are next in action on Sunday, when they take on Motherwell in the Scottish Cup semi-final.
