Everton had a torrid 2020/21 season, and sadly, the summer transfer window doesn’t seem to be going their way either.

Amid all sorts of financial troubles, Everton aren’t expected to spend big this summer, and unfortunately, they may well be about to lose two of their most important players as well.

Indeed, according to numerous reports, Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up a double swoop for both Richarlison and Anthony Gordon, and with Everton needing to sell to balance the books, this deal could be on.

Richarlison and Gordon departing to the same club at the same time would be bad news for Everton, but how disastrous would this truly be?

We’re going to take a look at the Toffees’ potential lineup if this deal goes ahead.

With Everton unlikely to spend all that much this summer, this is our predicted XI.

Jordan Pickford remains in goal, while Seamus Coleman and Vitaliy Mykolenko start at full-back.

James Tarkowski is reportedly on the verge of signing, so he slots in at centre-half alongside Ben Godfrey who will hopefully be back to his best next season after struggling with his recovery from covid.

The midfield is where this team gets very interesting.

Abdoulaye Doucoure starts in his holding role, but he’s partnered by Harry Winks who could reportedly be used as a makeweight in this deal.

Winks is reportedly keen to join Everton, so he starts in the middle of the park in our team.

Another player who could be used as bait in this deal is Steven Bergwijn. The Telegraph are reporting that Spurs could offer Bergwijn as a part of their offer for Richarlison, so he starts on the right here.

Dele Alli finally gets a shot as Everton desperately look for some attacking impetus after losing Gordon, while Alex Iwobi starts on the left.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin retains his place as the starting striker, and while he may be starved of service after Richarlison and Gordon’s potential departures, he’ll surely remain a key player for the Merseyside club.
