Rangers want to ‘put the icing on the cake’ at Ibrox.

Glasgow Rangers director of football Mark Allen has dropped a big hint to get fans excited this summer.
Allen spoke to Rangers’ official website to outline the club’s transfer strategy.
He explained that he felt the Gers are in a strong position this summer thanks to good strengthening over the course of the past 12 months.
As a result Rangers plan to target quality over quantity.
Allen said: “Steven and I use the analogy of making a cake. We’ve made the cake, the cake looks really nice and we need to put the icing on it now.
“The analogy we’re trying to look at now is about trying to add quality to the starting eleven.”

He also added that he is targeting an attacking midfielder, and a defender to replace Joe Worrall, who will return to Nottingham Forest after his loan deal expires.
Allen’s comments are encouraging and suggest the club are looking for high calibre big name signings.
Rangers proved their ability to attract renowned names in the recent transfer window, sealing loan deals for Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis.
It sounds like there could be more to follow this summer.
