Sam Allardyce has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur were ‘the only ones that succeeded’ in stopping player power when they kept Harry Kane at the club amid the drama involving Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United.
The former Premier League boss feels it’s best Ronaldo heads for the Old Trafford exit door and goes back to Italy, as he seemingly tries to orchestrate a move away from Manchester United after a falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.
The Portugal star shared that he doesn’t have any respect for his club manager in a recent tell-all interview with Piers Morgan.

This isn’t anything new because players left, right and centre have always tried to orchestrate moves away from their clubs when they are unhappy or want to move onto bigger things.
Kane did just that a number of seasons ago, including an interview with Gary Neville where he expressed his admiration for Manchester City and Kevin de Bruyne whilst playing golf.
It was well-documented that Kane, at that time, wanted to leave Spurs for the Premier League champions, but a certain Daniel Levy wasn’t having any of it.
Allardyce would have encountered his fair share of player power tussles when he was a manager, as he used Kane as an example when talking about Ronaldo’s situation, as he told No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast.
“The only one that succeeded that way is at Tottenham when they wouldn’t sell Harry Kane,” said Allardyce.
“That’s the only one where they have managed to keep him at the club. The rest have been sold off.
“For the manager’s sake, at this moment in time, they have to let Ronaldo go. I would say let him go back to Italy. I think he will be great there and score lots and lots of goals.”

KANE’S TOTTENHAM CONTRACT
That drama of Man City is now long gone and the England captain isn’t going to don their colours in his career.
But there is the small matter of there being less than two years remaining on his Spurs contract, so the question has to be asked ‘what is Kane thinking?’
Antonio Conte’s current deal also expires at the end of the season, so if those two sign on the dotted line, then regardless of what happens this season, Spurs will head into these next few years believing more than ever before that they can end their long wait to win a trophy.
