Allan Saint-Maximin has provided Newcastle supporters with an update on his recovery when writing a ten-word tweet on Twitter.

The Frenchman was responding to a fan-page called @NUFC360, who asked how the eccentric winger was doing.

You can see what Saint-Maximin wrote in response to the question below.

Newcastle’s No.10 and Jamaal Lascelles have been struggling with the long-term effects of contracting COVID-19, as the BBC documented.

The pair were affected after an outbreak caused the closure of Newcastle’s training ground in the middle of December.

Even despite his Coronavirus struggles, Saint-Maximin was carrying a hamstring injury at the end of November as the Chronicle reported.

The issue forced him out of the Magpies’ 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Saint-Maximin hasn’t featured for Steve Bruce since the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on November 21st.

However, it’s good to see the man himself confirm that he’s ‘fine’ when interacting with supporters on Twitter.

Despite his importance to the Magpies, Newcastle have actually picked up a couple of good results without the 23-year-old.

As aforesaid, Bruce’s side picked up a win over Crystal Palace without their mesmeric forward.

Additionally, Newcastle also held Premier League champions Liverpool to a goalless draw at St James’ Park recently without their talented No.10.

However, Saint-Maximin’s presence could’ve helped Newcastle avoid a heavy defeat to Leeds and an underwhelming loss to Championship outfit Brentford.
