Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin made a big impact as Steve Bruce’s side won at the weekend.

Saint-Maximin has endured a stop-start opening to life at Newcastle, since signing in the summer.
The French winger has struggled with injury, but looked very sharp during Newcastle’s 1-0 win over Manchester United at the weekend.
Saint-Maximin was vital in transition for Newcastle, as he threatened the United defence time after time on the counter attack.
And the 22-year-old feels that he can get even better, if Steve Bruce keeps picking him now.
“I feel better, but I have to keep working,” Saint-Maximin said.
“I need to play more. I need to play every game to feel much better. I’m really happy.
“My quality is to run and do some dribbling. Sometimes I do a lot of things on the pitch. My last season in France, I played every game. I changed league and had an injury, but I kept working to come back. I played 82 minutes, I think.

“My job is to dribble and the fans like this. Everybody’s happy because we won an important game before the break.”
Saint-Maximin looks more than likely to stay in Newcastle’s team after the international break now, if he remains fit.
The trickster added so much to Newcastle’s attack at the weekend against the Red Devils, and proved a hugely potent outlet.
Newcastle’s win over United lifted some of the gloom forming over St. James’ Park, with Bruce’s side now sat in 16th place in the Premier League table.
