Allan Saint-Maximin has reacted on his Instagram story to claims that he has fallen out with Steve Bruce by emphatically stating that he has ‘no problem’ with the Newcastle manager.
The Newcastle winger told his followers that he loves Newcastle and that he is also feeling ‘really good’ health-wise amid claims that he is still struggling with COVID.
Bruce shared with BBC Sport that both Saint-Maximin and captain Jamaal Lascelles are still suffering from the long-term effects of COVID.
But Saint-Maximin has seemingly dismissed those claims on Instagram, with this simple message to the supporters.
“I have no problem with Steve Bruce,” said Saint-Maximin. “I am fine. I am with my family, as you can see.
“I have no problem. You can see I feel really good. If you question I have a problem with Steve Bruce or the club. I have nothing. I love the club. I love the fans. I love everything. I feel great.”

Given that Bruce has a rocky relationship with the Newcastle fans, it doesn’t help his cause that such claims come out about him falling out with his players.
But it has to be noted that Saint-Maximin has stated that he is fine health-wise, so the question has to be asked why Bruce would then share that he’s unsure about when his tricky winger will return.
Nonetheless, given his popular status at the club, all Newcastle want to see is Saint-Maximin dazzling opposition defences and leaving them on their backside because he is the one player that makes them stand up from their seats.
