Ian Wright and Emile Smith Rowe have reacted on Instagram to Zech Medley leaving Arsenal today.

Arsenal’s official’s Twitter account shared that Medley has moved to Belgium and joined KV Oostende on a four-year deal.

The 20-year-old leaves Arsenal having made three first-team appearances for his boyhood club.

And when Medley shared this emotional Instagram post about leaving North London, a number of former and current players responded to his post.

Highbury legend, Wright, wrote: “All the best Zech.”. Whilst first-team centre-back, Rob Holding, added: “All the best big man.”

Arsenal playmaker, Smith Rowe, wrote a similar message on his Instagram story to his fellow academy product.

At the age of only 20, this move from Medley is a brave one and he has to prove to those in North London that they are wrong to move him on.

It will be interesting to see where his career takes him from here on in because he has plenty of years in the tank to return to the Premier League one day.

Whilst Arsenal’s senior stars have continued to struggle over the years, the one thing that has remained a constant is the club’s academy.

And if Medley can take a leaf out of Joe Willock or Dan Ballard’s book then he might just be flying high during his years in Belgium.
