Paul Merson has praised Liverpool winger Luis Diaz on Sky Sports Premier League (5:15pm, August 27, 2022) for his performance against Bournemouth at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The former Arsenal star was really impressed by how well Diaz played for Liverpool in their 9-0 hammering of Bournemouth in front of their own fans.
The 25-year-old Colombia international winger scored two goals, first in the third minute and then on 85 minutes.

“He is all over the place, absolutely all over the place. Sometimes he is unplayable.
“You don’t know what to do. You don’t know whether to follow him up the pitch, do you stick, do you stay.”

Like many of his Liverpool teammates, Luis Diaz did not start the new season exactly on fire.
Until now.
The winger has scored three goals in four Premier League appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side so far this season.
Yes, it was ‘only’ Bournemouth, but you can play against and beat only what’s in front of you.
Diaz was brilliant in the second half of last season, and he is starting to show the form he displayed then.
Liverpool were at their very best against Bournemouth, and the Anfield faithful will hope that this continues for a long, long time.
