Ian Wright has told Hector Bellerin on his Instagram story ‘we have all learnt from you’ after he left Arsenal on transfer deadline day.
The 26-year-old sealed a loan move to Real Betis and the deal does not include an option to buy the player, according to the Athletic.
Bellerin leaving Arsenal has been on the cards all summer because he fell out of favour with Mikel Arteta last season.
Then he had to watch the likes of Cedric Soares and Calum Chambers play ahead of him during this campaign.
And even though Bellerin was a martmite-like figure in North London, he was one that was still greatly appreciated by one club legend.
Wright wrote the following message on his Instagram story: “Always represented the club with pure love and respect. We have all learnt so much from you. Enjoy your time at Betis.”

Even though Bellerin will return to the Emirates next season, this is probably the end of his career at the club.
Unless he rips it up in Spain and changes Mikel Arteta’s mind upon his return, then this is probably the end of the road for him.
But, by the time the fast-paced right-back does return, then Arteta might not even be in the dugout, so that could also have big bearings on his future.
Either way, many Arsenal fans will feel that Bellerin hasn’t been able to fulfil his early talents.
He burst onto the scene with his raw pace and constant need to burst forward, but injuries and lack of form resulted in him stagnating.
