Some Arsenal fans on social media have actually been expressing gratitude towards Unai Emery after it was reported that Villarreal have made a bid for Hector Bellerin.
It’s no secret that Bellerin could be leaving Arsenal this summer, and with the Gunners needing to raise cash to rebuild their squad, fans are seemingly keen to see him leave sooner rather than later.
After something of an indifferent season or Bellerin, there was a slight worry that it may be tough for the Spaniard to find a new club, but it seems as though his former manager wants to reunite with him.
Indeed, Emery’s Villarreal have reportedly but an offer in for the right-back, and Arsenal fans are so pleased to see that Bellerin could be on his way.
Now, it’s not that Arsenal fans don’t like Bellerin. After all, he’s been a great servant for years at the Emirates, but the fact of the matter is that the club needs to raise money to go into a different direction, and Bellerin is an expendable and sellable asset.
Despite their differences in the past, the Arsenal fanbase were actually thankful for Emery after seeing this rumour about Villarreal’s bid for the defender.
