Michael Chopra has absolutely ripped into Steve Bruce after Newcastle handed Sheffield United their first Premier League win of the season.
The Magpies were absolutely awful at Bramall Lane.
As WhoScored shows, they had just seven shots in comparison to Sheffield United’s 17.
Newcastle also had just 33.8% of possession against the Blades, who had just two points from 17 outings before yesterday’s win.
Furthermore, Newcastle recorded just 283 passes in comparison to Sheffield United’s 559.
These statistics don’t bode well, regardless of who Newcastle were playing.
The fact that they were up against the division’s worst team only adds to how bad the Magpies were.
A lack of discipline was also on show, as Ryan Fraser picked up two yellow cards in three first-half minutes.
After watching the dismal display, Chopra tore into Bruce on Twitter.

Chopra – who made 31 appearances for the Magpies and was born in Newcastle – is clearly fuming with the ex-Sunderland boss.
In fairness, you can’t blame him.
Newcastle are looking more and more toothless with each passing week, and what Bruce instructs his players to do is genuinely a mystery to us.
