Liverpool fans are widely regarded to be some of the best in the world.
Liverpool star Alisson Becker spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and offered high words of praise for the club’s fans, labelling them as the ‘biggest in the world’.
The Brazilian joined the Reds from AS Roma in the summer of 2018, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £66.8 million, according to BBC Sport, and he has gone on to be a real hit at Anfield, conceding just 22 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions for Jürgen Klopp’s side.
Alisson has made a huge difference to Liverpool this season, and they currently sit in second spot in the Premier League table, behind league leaders Manchester City only because of an inferior goal difference, but they do have a game in hand over Pep Guardiola’s side.
The 26-year-old spoke to the club’s official website, and highlighted how much of an important role the Reds fans have to play in his side’s hopes of achieving success this season:
“I think here at Liverpool you have maybe the biggest supporters in the world. The supporters are a great part of this team. They cannot go to the pitch and play but… they can do something to move us, to charge us to do something more on the pitch.”
Liverpool have shown signs that they are beginning to feel the pressure in recent weeks, but they are still in with a great chance of winning their first top flight title since 1990.
And if they are to go on and do just that, Alisson will need to be on his very best form between now and May.
