Gjanni Alioski has sent a heartfelt tribute to Marcelo Bielsa after parting company with Leeds United.
It was announced by Leeds this morning that Bielsa has left his role as manager of the Elland Road outfit by mutual consent.
The 66-year-old had overseen some horrific form in West Yorkshire, with the Whites conceding 20 goals in their previous five Premier League outings.
There has been outpouring of positive tributes from a whole selection of United players following the announcement.
But a former player in Alioski has also sent his regards.
There’s no doubt that Bielsa’s arrival at Leeds coincided with a number of players taking their game to the next level, as testament to his man-management skills.
Alioski is among those who benefited from Bielsa’s coaching at Thorp Arch.

Heartbreaking
It’s truly a heartbreaking development from Yorkshire but, ultimately, a necessary one.
Leeds are only two points above the relegation zone and dropping back down into the Championship would’ve represented a massive step backwards.
There’s no denying that Bielsa – who brought United back to the Premier League following a 16-year absence – was hindered by the loss of key personnel, such as Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips for most of the season.
But thriving in the Premier League is a squad game and, unfortunately, the Argentine and Victor Orta didn’t do enough with the resources they’ve had.
