Gjanni Alioski has told Robin Koch to ‘get well soon brother’ on Instagram after the Leeds defender provided an injury update to supporters.

The Leeds 25-year-old posted on Instagram that he ‘underwent minor surgery’ last week and he is now in the process of ‘rehabilitation’.

Koch hasn’t featured for Leeds in the Premier League, since their opening day defeat to Manchester United, after suffering an injury to his ‘pubis bone’.

But it seems as though it will be some while until he returns back onto the pitch for the Whites.

In his absence, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have suffered, with only one win to their name all season.

It doesn’t help when, added with Koch’s injury, Patrick Bamford is also in the treatment room and Kalvin Phillips has just returned.

What also doesn’t help matters for the Yorkshire club is that Bielsa deals with a small squad, so injuries hurt them a lot more than others.

Last season, Koch only managed 17 Premier League games, once again injuries, this time to his knee, resulting in him spending quite a lot of time in the treatment room.

Added with that, the two centre-back purchases from Leeds last summer – Koch and Diego Llorente – have managed only 38 league games between them since they singed for the club.

If such bad luck continues for Leeds during these coming months, then the club have to take action during the winter transfer window, else they will live to regret it.
