Premier League pair Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are reportedly eyeing a £20m move for Scottish Premiership goal-machine Alfredo Morelos.

Alfredo Morelos has cast fresh doubt on his Rangers future in an interview with BluRadio, the £20 million Aston Villa target admitting that he is keen to secure a move to a more ‘competitive’ league in the near future.
Considering that the Colombian has plundered 18 goals in 23 games this season, encouraging Rangers to believe that a first Scottish Premiership crown in eight years is not out of the question, the last thing Steven Gerrard needed was for his star man to hint at a January exit.
The Scottish Sun reported in late October that Premier League duo Aston Villa and Crystal Palace were both mulling over £20 million bids for Morelos with Rangers expected to be offered a similar sum to the one that arch rivals Celtic sold their own star striker, Ousmane Dembele, for in the summer of 2018.
And the former HJK Helsinki man has admitted that his future, immediate or otherwise, probably lies away from Ibrox.
“So far there is nothing official. There is a lot of speculation of teams things I’ve read on Twitter and stuff, but there’s been nothing concrete, but if there is then I will let you know,” Morelos said, as translated by the Daily Record.

“I just need to continue doing things to the best of my ability and we will see now in the winter transfer window if there’s the chance to make a bigger move, to a much better and more competitive league.”
Crystal Palace have scored just 10 goals in 10 league games so far so it’s easy to see why they are interested in Morelos while Aston Villa fans have been split down the middle by the performances of big summer signing Wesley Moraes, whose displays have flitted between anonymous and influential so far.
Rangers will do everything they can, however, to keep Morelos until the summer at least with the 2019/20 season shaping up to be a very promising one.
