Glasgow Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos is attracting interest from elsewhere after a great start to his Ibrox career.

Alfredo Morelos’ agent has told the Daily Record that the striker is happy with Rangers and has no intention of leaving right now amid speculation linking the youngster with the Ibrox exit.

Morelos has been a revelation since joining the Gers during the summer transfer window. The Colombian currently tops the Scottish Premiership’s goalscoring charts with 10 goals in the top flight – and it appears that that has led to interest from elsewhere.

The Record reports that the 21-year-old is attracting attention from elsewhere and has been watched by scouts. But Jonne Lindblom has insisted that his client has no intention of leaving Rangers in the near future.

“Alfredo is enjoying his football, he is playing well at Rangers,” he told the Record.

“When a young player is doing well, it is natural there will be interest, but there is nothing to be thinking about at the moment.

“There is nothing going on with Alfredo and it is not something that has even been discussed.”

Keeping Morelos will undoubtedly be a major coup for the Light Blues. Though his form has not always been the most impressive, his return is still incredibly encouraging given that he is still in his first season in Scottish football.

He should only get better in the coming years as he gets older and gets further acclimatised to his surroundings at Ibrox. And that should potentially help Rangers in the transfer market as other players will want to work with Morelos in the future.

And if he does end up leaving for another club, the Gers will surely receive a sizeable transfer fee that should allow the club to make the overall squad even stronger. But for now, Graeme Murty should just be delighted that he looks set to have his star striker for a while longer.
