Alfonso Pedraza is keen to end at Leeds on a high.

Wing wizard Alfonso Pedraza has sent a message to fans ahead of potentially his final ever game for Leeds United.

Pedraza is on loan at Leeds from Spanish side Villarreal until the end of the season.

Leeds have just one game left of the season after missing out on the play-offs, and the Spaniard’s future is unclear.

Spanish newspaper AS reported that Leeds had an option to buy at £8 million if they won promotion, but this is now off the agenda. Potentially of course Leeds could still aim to get a cheaper deal done.

Pedraza is for now focused on his final game for the club which will come away at already relegated Wigan Athletic, and says he wants to end on a high.

Pedraza was a late substitute for Leeds in their draw at the weekend with Norwich, and has been unfortunate of late.

Leeds have failed to win any of their last four, with Pedraza involved in all of them, starting two.

This weekend’s fixture against Wigan is a winnable game and gives him a chance to bow out on a high, leaving an impression which could convince Leeds to pay up for him this summer.

Pedraza has one goal in 13 appearances, eight of them starts.
