Alfie Whiteman trained with Tottenham Hotspur’s senior squad ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino put his Tottenham Hotspur players through their paces ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Chelsea.

Spurs go to Stamford Bridge on the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Burnley which might’ve put paid to their hopes of winning the Premier League title.

Harry Kane, who scored Tottenham’s goal at Turf Moor following his return to the first XI after a six-week absence, trained as normal.

But so too did an academy player who is yet to make his debut.

It looks like 20-year-old goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman was included in Pochettino’s training session.

But it seems unlikely that his inclusion could be linked to a shock place on the bench tomorrow, given that Hugo Lloris, Paulo Gazzaniga and Michel Vorm were all present in the session.

It does, perhaps, indicate that Pochettino is a fan of the young stopper, who was named on the bench for a Capitol One Cup game back in September.
