Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper has been snubbed with a move for Michel Vorm.

Michel Vorm clinched a return to Tottenham Hotspur this week, signing until the end of the season.
The Dutchman was a free agent after leaving Spurs in the summer and provides cover for Hugo Lloris. The Frenchman is out injured with a dislocated elbow, until the New Year.
There is one clear loser from the deal, and that’s youngster Alfie Whiteman.
Whiteman, 21, had been elevated to second choice for Spurs behind Paulo Gazzaniga.
The prospect featured on the bench for Tottenahm in their recent Premier League defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Mauricio Pochettino’s decision to call on veteran Vorm was a clear sign he believes Whiteman is not ready.
It is a decision which flies in the face of his promote youth philosophy, but in this particular case he clearly feels Vorm is the better option.
So where does this leave Whiteman, who has just seen his first team chances this season disappear?

The result is clear, Whiteman needs to seek an exit, most probably a loan move.
Whiteman has featured for Spurs’ under-21 side in the EFL Trophy this season, gaining experience against Football League sides.
If he can secure a loan move to a League One or League Two club, it will give him a chance to learn, and impress Tottenham.
At 21 he needs to play first team football, and it no longer looks viable at Tottenham, for now at least.
