Everton signed Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea City in the summer transfer window.

Sigurdsson joint Everton from Premier League rivals Swansea City in the summer transfer window.
According to BBC Sport, the Toffees had to pay the Swans a transfer fee of £45 million in order to secure the services of the 27-year-old attacking midfielder.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Reading man scored nine goals and provided 13 assists in 37 league starts for the Welsh club during the 2016-17 campaign.
Swansea centre-back Mawson, 23, has given his take on Sigurdsson’s move from the Swans to Everton in the summer transfer window.

“He deserves his move, he deserves his chance to play at a club that have got real ambitions this year,” Mawson said about on Sigurdsson on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News on Monday morning (broadcast from 10am, September 4, 2017).
“Everton, I think, they are going to do good things, and to play in the Europa League, he deserves that at least, big asset for them, he was a big asset for us.”
Everton are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with four points from three matches, while Swansea are currently 13th in the standings.
