Brighton & Hove Albion star Alexis Mac Allister is reportedly open to signing for Juventus in the summer, with the news coming just days after Liverpool joined the race for the midfielder.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner is ‘convinced’ about signing for the Serie A giants in the summer, with Mac Allister now wanted by numerous top clubs following his performances out in Qatar with Argentina, including Liverpool.
La Repubblica have reported recently that the Reds have joined the race to sign Mac Allister, with Jurgen Klopp already landing one of the stars of the World Cup in Cody Gakpo, with the Brighton midfielder now seemingly on the Merseyside giants’ radar.
With Brighton unlikely to sell in January, though, a departure from the Amex Stadium will likely only happen next summer, where Mac Allister’s value could rise even higher if the midfielder can hit the ground running again in the Premier League after his displays out in Qatar.

However, this latest update is the last thing Liverpool would have wanted to hear, with Juventus now seemingly in the driving seat to sign Mac Allister in 2023, with the Old Lady eager to overhaul their squad and to change tact with the business they do in the market.
Indeed, Mac Allister would be a great signing for Juventus with the player himself one that would be exceptional in Serie A, yet the Italian giants themselves could struggle to land the midfielder given how strong the competition now is for the Argentine World Cup winner.
Juventus will need to pull off a miracle to sign Mac Allister

Juventus’ 2022 has been rough, to say the least, which is why as much as signing Mac Allister sounds good on paper, the deal actually happening would take a lot of luck, not at least with Liverpool now firmly in the race to bring the midfielder to Anfield.
After all, Juventus must first sell before they can buy, and with the ongoing investigation into some of the club’s questionable dealings still going on, there could be a real challenge from the Turin-based side to land Mac Allister in 2023.
