Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has told the club’s official site that he thinks winger Reiss Nelson is a ‘big talent’.
The Gunners were in action against Premier League champions Liverpool on Wednesday night, with many expecting Mikel Arteta’s side to lose.
Whilst Sadio Mane did fire Liverpool in front, Arsenal hit back with two goals, capitalising on a couple of errors from the Reds.
Lacazette pounced on a short backpass from Virgil van Dijk to round Alisson and score, before Alisson himself gifted Lacazette posession and he picked out Nelson.
The youngster fired the ball into the corner of the net, and that proved to be the winner as Arsenal clinched a 2-1 victory.
Nelson, 20, was handed an unexpected start last night, and picked up his first Premier League goal of the season as he continues to show promise under Arteta.

Loaned out to Hoffenheim last season, Nelson was in danger of fading away behind Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel Martinelli following their arrivals last summer, but he has shown that he shouldn’t be forgotten yet.
Now, teammate Lacazette has admitted that he thinks Nelson is a ‘big talent’, and has been impressed with his work in training, which all resulted in a deserved goal last night.
“He is a big talent and does a lot of work behind [the scenes]. I trust in him, he is working a lot in every training session and today he had the chance to start and I am really happy for him because I think he deserves it.
