Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has labelled Curtis Jones’ training ground goal as ‘normal’ after footage emerged on Monday.

Whilst the Liverpool midfielder posted a clip on his Instagram of scoring a quite brilliant free-kick with his weaker left foot.

The Rising Ballers Instagram also paid homage to the Liverpool 20-year-old in England U21 training, and his club teammate simply responded in the comments section by saying ‘normal’.

Alexander-Arnold clearly issued that one-word response in a positive sense and how this isn’t something the youngster hasn’t done before.

Usually, it’s TAA who is whipping those free-kicks into the top bins, but he may now have a challenge on his hands.

Nonetheless, England’s U21s will be in action on Tuesday evening as they take on Kosovo in their Euro 2023 qualifier.

One Reds youngster in Harvey Elliott has already pulled out through injury, but Jones will be hoping to get some much-needed minutes.

Jones’ stock has been rising on Merseyside in recent years, but he is now hoping for those consistent run of games to take his game to the next level.

Perhaps that will come this season with the departure of Gini Wijnaldum because he is certainly a contender, alongside Elliott, to play in the middle of the pitch on a regular basis.
