Alex Rae has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Rangers should sign Hibernian duo John McGinn and Dylan McGeouch in the summer transfer window.

The former Rangers midfielder, who was on the books of the Ibrox club from 2004 until 2006, made the suggestion for the Gers director of football Mark Allen on Twitter following Hibernian’s 2-1 victory over Celtic on Saturday afternoon.

McGinn, 23, and McGeouch, 25, were a force to be reckoned with in the Hibs midfield and destroyed Brendan Rodgers’s side at Easter Road in the Scottish Premiership game.

Rae has suggested on Twitter that Rangers should sign the two midfielders from Hibernian in the summer transfer window.

McGinn is one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership, and the Scotland international’s performances for Hibernian so far this season have been superb.

McGeouch, who started his professional football career at Celtic, has established himself as a key figure in Neil Lennon’s team.

While the two midfielders would be very good signings for Rangers, the question is whether Hibernian would be open to selling them.
