Alex Rae has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Rangers going nine points clear of Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
The former Rangers star is pleased with the 1-0 win for Steven Gerrard’s side against Kilmarnock away from home in the league this afternoon.
A penalty from James Tavernier after 19 minutes proved to be the difference between the two sides at Rugby Park.
The result means that Rangers have now picked up 35 points from their 13 league games.
Celtic, who have won the championship for the past nine seasons, are second in the standings with 26 points from 11 matches.
Rangers are going strong
Celtic have two games in hand, and one would expect the Hoops to win them both.
That would still leave Neil Lennon’s side three points behind Rangers, who are doing extremely well at the moment.
Of course, it is still very early in the season, but Rangers are looking very efficient and focused, and the fans must be overjoyed with how the team are winning games and picking up points.
