Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers signed Glen Kamara on Thursday.

Alex Rae has told The Glasgow Evening Times that Rangers have very little to lose with Glen Kamara.
The 23-year-old joined Rangers on deadline day to become the Gers’ last signing of January.
Rangers spent a mere £45,000 to sign Kamara now [The Daily Record] instead of this summer, when he would have arrived to Ibrox for free after penning a pre-contract agreement, along with Jordan Jones.
And the former light Blues midfielder believes that manager Steven Gerrard is in a no-lose situation with the Arsenal academy product, based on his minimal transfer fee.
“He is one for the longer term. It isn’t going to bankrupt Rangers if it doesn’t work out. He hasn’t cost a fortune,” Rae told Glasgow Evening Times.
“Does he have the drive, the character, the ability to grab a game by the scruff of the neck? How he does depends on where he goes in terms of his temperament. Time will tell whether this boy can do it. “
Kamara, a Finland international, was not included in Rangers’ squad for Saturday’s 4-0 win over St Mirren in Glasgow.
Stephen Craigan has said this weekend that he doesn’t expect Gerrard to use him this season.
But Rae is right. The stakes are very low with Kamara. He either becomes a big success under Gerrard, making his £45,000 fee seem like an absolute snip, or he flops and therefore the club have only wasted peanuts on signing him.
