Former Ibrox midfielder Alex Rae has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the win for Steven Gerrard’s Rangers on Sunday afternoon.

Rangers have got the better of Hamilton Academical 1-0 at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

Daniel Candeias’s goal as early as the third minute proved to be the difference between the two teams.

The win against Hamilton means that Gerrard’s side are now at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with 34 points from 17 matches.

Rangers are level on points with second-placed Kilmarnock – who have played 18 games – and a point clear of bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have played 16 matches and are currently third in the standings.

Celtic were in action in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday as well, and Brendan Rodgers’s side went down 2-0 to Hibernian away from home.

Former Rangers midfielder Rae was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the Gers going to the top of the Scottish Premiership table, and so has ex-Ibrox left-back Michael Ball.
