The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is back and raring to go but will it be enough?

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alex Pritchard has taken to Twitter to comment on his pre-season preparations, and after a series of setbacks he will be hoping to finally make his mark at White Hart Lane in the months ahead.
Pritchard is no longer an up-and-coming prospect. He is 23 and as such he will know the importance of playing regular first-team football.

The problem is, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has some of the best midfielders in the country at his disposal and with more new signings expected this summer Pritchard will have to fight tooth and nail to add to his two Spurs appearances to date.
“Pre-season well under way,” Pritchard wrote. “Working hard to get where I need to be.”
He will no doubt be hoping that is on the pitch with Tottenham for what looks set to be another exciting campaign, and when you rewind to last summer it certainly seemed he was set for his breakthrough.

That followed a superb loan spell at Brentford where he regularly showed his creativity and goal-scoring prowess. However injury robbed him of much of last season and a loan move to West Bromwich Albion resulted in just three appearances.
He will not have given up hope of making it at Tottenham but this really could be his last chance, yet as many have proved before him there is always a chance as long as you are prepared to fight for it.
