The Norwich City newbie is ready to kick on at Carrow Road.
Alex Pritchard of England during training
Tottenham Hotspur recently sold talented young playmaker Alex Pritchard to Norwich City in a deal reported to be worth around £8 million – according to the Daily Mail.
It was a move that shocked many, given the promise of Pritchard.
Unfortunately, the England youth international suffered an ankle injury last summer and then struggled on loan at West Brom in the second half of last season.
West Brom’s decision to sign Pritchard seemed strange, considering his style of play did not fit with Tony Pulis’ designs for the Baggies.
Pritchard ended up playing just three games for the club in a disappointing loan stint and this week he spoke to the Eastern Daily Press about the failed spell at The Hawthorns.

He stated: “It was a difficult time for me at West Brom. I wouldn’t say anything bad about the club but it was difficult, not much game time, for reasons that I don’t know why. It’s not one I regret; it’s football, you get on with it.
“Injuries are football. The loan move, if it comes off – Swindon came off, Brentford came off – but I had one that didn’t come off, that’s football, you get on with it.
“Now I’m here and I’m happy to be here but I’ll learn from last year.”
Now that he is at Norwich City the fans at Carrow Road will be hoping to see the best of the former England under-21 international.
Pritchard had a fantastic spell out on loan at Brentford in the Championship back in 2014-15 and nearly guided the club to the Premier League that season.
Pritchard and Norwich will hope he can go the extra step this term.
