Alex Pereira has given a straight answer when asked about the possibility of stepping into the boxing ring with Jake Paul.
Jake Paul was originally set to fight Gervonta Davis, but after that bout fell through, he quickly shifted his focus to Anthony Joshua.
The announcement of the Joshua fight caught many off guard, considering the significant jump in level for the YouTuber-turned-boxer.
Among Paul’s list of possible replacements were several MMA fighters, such as Nate Diaz and even former heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, with whom the 28-year-old appears to have started a dispute.
UFC light heavyweight champion Pereira was seemingly not one of the individuals on his list this time around. Even so, he was asked about a potential clash with ‘The Problem Child’, and dropped a surprising reply.
Alex Pereira shares his stunning thoughts on possible bout with Jake Paul

After beating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Paul publicly asked for a fight with ‘Poatan’, which was unexpected at the time.
Although nothing materialised, the 28-year-old later claimed in an interview that there were discussions between the two camps.
Paul said Pereira was interested, but his UFC contract prevented anything from happening.
Now, ahead of Paul’s fight against Joshua, ‘Poatan’ has shared his views on what a match-up with ‘The Problem Child’ would look like.
He said to TMZ Sports: “Yeah, I think it’d be a (hard) challenge for both of us, I do really well in boxing sparring, I have won pro boxing fights so I think when you do things that you enjoy doing you do them well, so that’s what I think about boxing myself.”
Jake Paul could open up boxing career with win over Anthony Joshua

Paul has long said he wants to become a world champion in boxing one day. While many have not taken that claim seriously, he continues to find ways into big fights.
The 28-year-old, despite this, has not faced the right opponents to position himself for a world title bout.
A victory over Joshua would undeniably pave the way for a potential future title shot, moving him closer to achieving his dream.
