Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has teased his teammate Andy Robertson about reported target David Alaba on Sky Sports.
The former Arsenal midfielder (jokingly) said to Robertson that Alaba is a better player than he is.
Oxlade-Chamberlain made the comments during a chat with the Scotland international left-back and a Sky Sports presenter.
Bayern Munich star Alaba has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer of 2021.
The Guardian reported in January that Real Madrid are leading the race for the Austria international, but Liverpool have been in contact with the 28-year-old’s representatives and want to bring him to Anfield in the summer of 2021 on a free transfer.
Alaba is a very versatile player who can operate in central midfield, at right and left wing, left-back and centre-back.

Oxlade-Chamberlain told Robertson on Sky Sports: “He is more versatile than you, maybe, you could say then. He drops into midfield as well occasionally, a bit more ability, maybe maybe.”
David Alaba to Liverpool?
Alaba now plays mainly as a central defender at Bayern, and it is very likely that Liverpool are reportedly looking at the Austria international as a potential partner for Virgil van Dijk.
True, Liverpool signed Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak on transfer deadline day, but the former has never played in the Premier League and the latter is only on loan from Schalke.
Alaba would be a superb signing for Liverpool and would make them better and stronger at the back.
