Speaking on Liverpool’s YouTube channel, Diogo Jota and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been commentating on Liverpool’s game against Arsenal, and they’ve praised Aaron Ramsdale.

Jota and the Ox were tasked with rewatching the Reds’ 4-0 win against the Gunners and adding their own alternative commentary.

There was plenty to talk about during the game. Four goals, tough tackles and a touchline fracas.

As you may imagine, in a game Arsenal lost 4-0, Jota and Oxlade-Chamberlain didn’t have much praise for many of the London club’s players, but one man who did stand out to them was Aaron Ramsdale.

What’s Oxlade-Chamberlain said about Ramsdale?

The former Arsenal midfielder was commentating on a save Ramsdale made from Sadio Mane during the game.

“Good reflexes there from Ramsdale, that’s a good save,” Jota said.

“That was a good save, Aaron Ramsdale was on fire that day,” Oxlade-Chamberlain added.

Could have been even worse

Of course, Arsenal losing 4-0 at any point is embarrassing, but the Gunners could have been on the wrong end of a truly historic scoreline if it weren’t for Ramsdale that day.

The fact that Oxlade-Chamberlain had so much praise for the goalkeeper in a game where he conceded four goals just goes to show how good Ramsdale is.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t much the glovesman could have done about any of the Liverpool goals that day, but he still managed to come away from that game with quite a lot of credit.
