Liverpool new boy Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has joined up with the Reds after the international break and is getting to know his new teammates.

The midfielder is familiar with several of them due to international duty with England, and played against many of them with Arsenal just last weekend.

One player he is particularly impressed with is another summer signing, full-back Andy Robertson.

Oxlade-Chamberlain told Liverpool’s official website that the Scotland star had previously given him the runaround while playing for Hull City.

He said: “The full-backs are very attacking as well. You’ve just brought in Robbo, who I’ve played against a number of times and have had to track him back that way.

“When I played against Hull he had be running backwards a lot because he’s so attacking.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain added that he feels Liverpool’s forward players are ‘top class’ and after the way they tore his Arsenal side to shreds it is hard to argue.

The 24-year-old England star will go straight into Klopp’s squad this weekend for this Saturday’s huge Premier League clash against Manchester City.

It will be hard for him to walk straight into the team, but the extra option is a boost for Jurgen Klopp even if the Reds fell short in their pursuit of top target Lemar.
