The Norwich boss believes his team were the better side at Elland Road last night.
Leeds United took on Norwich City in the EFL Cup last night and secured themselves a place in the quarter-finals after penalties.
The result was a hard-fought one for the Leeds players, who twice had to come from behind to take the game to penalties and force their way into the next round.

Norwich City will no doubt feel aggrieved to have gone out of the competition and there is no doubt that was the opinion of their manager Alex Neil.
Speaking to the official Norwich City website after the game he made it clear that he felt his side had done enough to earn progression to the next round at the expense of Leeds:
“I’m disappointed with the result, particularly with the way we played.

“I thought we had a lot of good performances. We dominated most of the game; in the second half they had a 20-minute spell which was probably the only stage we didn’t dominate possession.
“The one thing I’d like to think is I’m really honest about how my team performs. I criticise them when I don’t think they’ve performed well and I can’t do that tonight.
“We deserved more than what happened.”

Leeds fans will of course not care too much about Neil’s thoughts on the result. Whilst Norwich will feel hard done by Leeds will point to the fact they had to dig in deep to get the result – especially after playing extra-time with ten men after Lewie Coyle was injured in the 90th minute.
That toughness is something that been lacking at Leeds United in recent years and to see the current crop battling to this cup win will no doubt have pleased the Leeds faithful.
If it takes another display like this to make the semi-finals, Leeds United won’t care a jot.
