Mowatt was sold by Leeds in the January transfer window, and he opted to move to Barnsley.
The attacking midfielder had been at Elland Road for his whole career, and he admits that departing from the Yorkshire club was difficult.
However, now Mowatt is at Barnsley he believes that leaving Leeds was the correct decision.
Mowatt really broke through at Leeds during the 2014/15 campaign, when he scored nine goals in 38 matches.
The 21-year-old appeared to be one of the biggest prospects to have developed at Leeds for some time, but his progress has stalled over recent years.
Mowatt had a difficult season last time out, and struggled to hold down a place in Garry Monk’s side.
Mowatt was actually sent off on his Barnsley debut, but he could make his return to first-team action this weekend, when the Tykes take on Huddersfield Town.
