Alex McLeish predicts who’ll win Glasgow Rangers’ next match against Celtic

Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers will take on Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side at the end of the month.

Former Glasgow Rangers boss Alex McLeish has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on 7th December, that he believes Celtic will beat Rangers in the Old-Firm derby later this month.

Celtic are set to host Rangers on December 30th, as Brendan Rodgers looks to extend his unbeaten record against his side’s Glasgow rivals.

Rodgers has still not tasted defeat against Rangers, ever since he took charge at the start of last season.

And McLeish admits that he simply cannot see Rangers pulling off an upset.

“Celtic are huge favourites. It would be very difficult for me to see Rangers getting a result there,” McLeish said.

“They did last year, but I doubt it very much that they could do it again.”

Rangers are currently 10 points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table, and they are struggling to keep pace with Rodgers’ side.

Celtic are now 67 domestic games unbeaten since he took charge, and he has now seen off Rangers’ last two managers.

Rangers are currently still searching for Pedro Caixinha’s replacement, with Graeme Murty still in temporary charge.

Rangers will be hoping to have their new permanent in charge by the time they take on Celtic at Parkhead at the end of the month.
